Flooding Affects Public Access at Wildlife Areas and Refuges Recorded Phone Line (916) 358-2839 Set up for Future Updates

SACRAMENTO VALLEY: Localized flooding has affected public access at several state-run wildlife areas. The areas are normally open to public access every day with hunting access on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. For the duration of waterfowl season, the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) has set up a recorded line to update waterfowl hunters and other visitors to these Sacramento Valley wildlife areas of flooding closures. The number is (916) 358-2839. The recording will be updated as conditions change.

- Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area: Closed for Wed, Dec 28.
- Little Dry Creek Unit and Howard Slough Unit of Upper Butte Basin Wildlife Area: Reduced quota for waterfowl hunting Wed, Dec 28.
