The success of the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) largely depends on the continued involvement of the public. There are a number of ways that members of the public can participate in this process:
Stay informed
- Sign up for the mailing list
- Review public documents
- Attend meetings
- View live web-casts of meetings
- View archived videos and/or listen to audio from previous meetings
Provide feedback
- Submit feedback on documents for public comment
- Provide comment at meetings
- Submit formal letters or written comments
- Participate in workshops
- Contact a member of the regional stakeholder group
- Submit comments, ideas and suggestions to: MLPAComments@resources.ca.gov
Spread the word
- Help ensure others in your community are aware of this initiative, and aware of any upcoming meetings or opportunities for public involvement. Become a Key Communicator.
