South Coast Project Public Open Houses

South Coast Summer Public Open Houses

The Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) requires the state to examine and redesign California’s system of marine protected areas, with extensive public input. The MLPA Initiative South Coast Summer Open Houses provide an opportunity for the pubic to review and comment on "Round 2" draft proposals developed for the south coast study region.

Attendees are welcome to visit informational stations and interact with staff and south coast regional stakeholders any time between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The open houses are designed to allow members of the public to review Round 2 draft MPA proposals, provide input on particular geographies and areas of interest, ask questions, and learn about the next steps in the process.

All are welcome to attend. The open houses are all scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the specific dates and locations are listed below. You are also welcome to read the open house flyer (Adobe Reader required), containing more detailed information.
