Lobster Operator Permit Transfer
LOBSTER OPERATOR PERMIT TRANSFERS FILLED FOR THE 2007-2008 PERMIT YEAR
On April 12, 2007, the Department of Fish and Game (Department) received the 10 allowed transfer applications for Lobster Operator Permits (LOP) for the 2007-2008 permit year.
Pursuant to Section 122(g)(2), Title 14, of the California Code of Regulations, no more than 10 applications to transfer a LOP will be processed by the Department during each license year (April 1 through March 31). Beginning April 1, 2008, there is no limit on the number of transfers that may be processed during any license year.
APPLYING TO TRANSFER A LOBSTER OPERATOR PERMIT
A notarized letter requesting a transfer of the Transferable LOP, the original valid 2008-2009 LOP, a copy of the proposed permittee’s 2008-2009 Commercial Fishing License, and payment of the $500 nonrefundable transfer fee, must be submitted to the Department’s License and Revenue Branch, 1740 N. Market Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95834.
DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR A 2008-2009 TRANSFER OF A TRANSFERABLE LOBSTER OPERATOR PERMIT
Commercial fishermen who have a valid 2008-2009 transferable LOP, may apply for transfer from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. If you wish to transfer your 2008-2009 Transferable LOP you must apply after March 31, 2008. LOP transfer applications may not be postmarked prior to April 1, 2008.
